Flange Rating Tool

Find the maximum working pressure of an ASME B16.5 flange for carbon steel Material Group 1.1 (for example A105 forgings and A216 WCB castings) at any temperature from −29 to 538 °C. Enter a design pressure to find the lowest class that covers it.

Notes

Values are from ASME B16.5 Table 2-1.1 in bar gauge. Between table temperatures the tool interpolates linearly, as the standard allows.
Other materials (stainless, duplex, low-alloy steels) have their own material groups and tables with different values.
The flange rating is only one limit. Bolting, gaskets and the rest of the piping class must also suit the design conditions.
